Best Ways To Follow For Healthy Pet Fish Care
Before putting your fish into water, please remember to treat
the water. This step is usually skipped.
That could result in your
fish dying as son as you bring them home from the pet store. In order
to prevent this problem, you would need to fill the tank and allow
the water to settle for a few days, and then add underwater rocks then run the filter and air pump.
It is also important to read the instructions on the food
package while feed your betta fish. You must be careful not to over feed them with fish supplies.
In addition be careful, not to put aggressive fish with
slow fish- if you see a fish that is behaving unduly aggressively,
separate your fish.
Be careful not to allow the pH and the temperature of the
water in the fish tank stand to fluctuate. This may just kill the fish.
It would be smart to keep a thermometer, and check the pH levels
of the tank on a regular basis.

In the event that a fish is dying, you would need to examine
the fish for sores, fin rot, etcetera. If there is a problem, treat
the rest of the fish in your tank for any corresponding problems.
You would also have to change the water in the tank as well. You
could also take the fish to a fish specialist or to the pet store
to accurately diagnose the problem.
Warning Signs Externally, of Fish Sickness
In order to ensure that your fish stays healthy, you must first be
able to identify correctly the disease they have contracted:
A bacterial infection is one of the most common conditions
that a fish may contract. If the fin seems to have eroded or has
holes and tears in it, or if the skin appears red and raised, and
has sores all over, or if the eyes of the fish appear cloudy and
the fish appears to mover slower than usual, these are sure indicators
that your fish has contracted bacterial infection. The best course
of treatment would be to treat the entire tank with an antibiotic
solution. This can be found in any pet store or retail outlet. If
the condition persists, then it probably is a fungal infection.
You could treat each infected fish individually with malachite green.
Another common medical condition that your fish may contract
is parasites. Here the fish, like in a bacterial infection, are
more sluggish than normal. There is no danger however, if the number
of parasites is controlled. The numbers of parasites are controlled
by limiting the number of fish that you have in your tank- and this
is the key to preventing the occurrence of parasite infection. If
the fish is constantly rubbing against the edge of the tank, or
if any part of the body appears to be red or raised or has little
white patches, or if anything is growing /attached to the fish,
or if your fish no longer displays signs of a healthy appetite and
appears to have difficulty breathing- these are all symptoms of
a parasite infection.
Itch is the most common medical condition that a fish suffers,
and can be best treated with remedies got from your pet store or
local retail outlet. The treatment is to be administered after reading
the instructions carefully, and is to be applied until all signs
have disappeared.
Sluggishness is symptomatic of almost every medical condition
that a fish fd may develop. If the fish has symptoms not fitting to
any /all of the medical symptoms described above, then the condition
of the water may be the problem. The water has to be treated before
putting the fish into it.
As you can see, keeping fish as pets, and carefully purchasing
the right sort and types of pet fish supplies come with a lot of responsibility
and hard work. Betta fish care, cat fish and other types of tropical
pet fish care, can be done well if you read the instructions on
the fish food package carefully, and talk to as many informed sources
as possible. To buy pet fish and making pet fish care your hobby
can be rewarding if you go about it the right way.
