Brief Introduction on Pet rabbits
Pet rabbits have a reasonable life span ranging from 7 to 15 years
and are mostly dependent on which breed they belong to. Pet rabbits
are friendly and they generally do not bite or cause harm to others.
You don’t have to spend much on training them or for treating
them or if the rabbit’s health is not satisfactory. However
medical expenses tend to be high when they undergo surgeries and serious
illness.
Feeding them isn’t a difficult task. They must be given chewable
substances food items like raw carrot and green leaf at regular
intervals. You must handle them delicately. For this reason it is
not advisable to let your children to handle them as they are likely
to injure it by rough handling. Pet rabbits can be a good source

to human beings and will never panic unless you treat them roughly.
Factors To Consider Before Buying Rabbits
You need to analyze certain issues before buying a pet rabbit. It
is advisable to think of buying one only when there are not many small
children in your house and that the place where you intend to have
them is not accessible to cat’s dogs or other animals that may
potentially cause danger to the life of your pet rabbit. Following
are the factors to be considered while buying a pet rabbit. Whenever
you are buying a rabbit you need to check for some areas like its
teeth, eyes and ears as these places are prone to infection easily.
You must also double-check the ears of lop rabbits which is very sensitive
and easily vulnerable to attack
Inspect The Rabbit Carefully
The rabbit should be inspected for inspections in all its organs like
teeth, eyes and ears. Since its body is soft and delicate it can easily
catch up infections. You can do this periodically for example once
in a week or 10 days. If you suspect any potential dangers you can
immediately consult the veterinarian. Even otherwise you can increase
the frequency of visits to the veterinarian to ensure that rabbit
is inspected often.
Lop Rabbits And Ear problems
Lop rabbits generally weigh heavy when compared with other rabbits.
Most of the varieties of lob rabbits have short ears when compared
with breeds of other rabbits.
Since their ears are small they face lot of problems. A person will
experience difficulty in holding them. If they are damaged by mistake
or infected they will become very weak.
Rabbits And Pedigrees
A pedigree certificate tells you about the rabbit’s parents.
It is an authenticated document that establishes that the rabbit belongs
to a credible breed. You need to get this certificate to ensure that
the rabbit does not belong to a cross breed. If you doubt that the
pedigree certificate can be a cooked up one you may very well purchase
a registered rabbit.
